Tears in Heaven : Eric Clapton Cover

Another of Andy V's great cover-songs recorded and engineered at NEAC.
This time Eric Clapton gets the treatment. It's the raw and atmospheric sound that really made us take a closer listen to this, it's an honest - warts and all recording done in a single take. Thanks to Andy, John and Wicket for allowing us to share their amazing work.

Andy V and Friends Cover : Wonderwall

Local Musician Andy V and Friends have been using the Studio to make a short-notice CD. Due to very limited timescales, all of the songs were bashed out in one take and mixed overnight. The Results were great, even with the extra pressure of the Situation. Here is the Band's take on classic Oasis song : Wonderwall, please use the player above if you would like to have a listen.

Anthony Blake Records the Works of TS Eliot

Studio Regular; Anthony Blake has been recording the Poems of TS Eliot. Feel free to use the player above to have a listen.

Jurassic 5's producer and DJ Nu-Mark on Maschine

Jurassic 5 are a legendary US Hip Hop Band known for loose fitting; hyper funky rhythms and witty, intelligent rhymes. Here their producer and DJ talks about Native Instruments Maschine, which is an innovative tool which affords digital producers more hands on flexibility and live artists more scope to incorporate computer based music into their shows.

Studio Test August 2010

We thought it would be a good idea to put the studio through it's paces recently and have been recording some of the results. This track was created to test out drum kit sounds recorded into pro-tools along with a Roland TR-505 and Korg Ms2000r running through a line 6 space echo modeller and RAK distortion pedal. This is quite a simple, off the cuff demonstration using quite an underground style of music, we hope to show off different styles as we go along to give people a feel for what is possible and stir those creative juices !

A.G.E Blake records Gurdjieff's 'All and Everything'

In June / July 2010, the Music Studio played host to the Scholar Anthony Blake, who has been recording readings from Gurdjieff's Opus 'All and Everything'.

Anthony has worked all over the world, and it may be of interest to music fans, that his work has inspired people such as Robert Fripp (King Crimson, FSOL, The Orb).

Audio from Desi Girls 2009 show.

In Autumn 2009 Sikh Sanjog and Jann Pechan put together a show involving a number of woman of varying ages to put on a show celebrating equality, respect and cultural values.

The show was a great success, with a number of girls gaining credit towards their Duke of Edinburgh Awards and audiences delighted by the music, dance and drama provided by the show.

This track was created by Tigerstyle and the girls, who wrote the lyrics, rap and poem along with Polly Phillips. The Track was engineered and mastered at Graphite North and performed along with a full dance routine at the show.
